BladderTracker was/is being written for Nathan Tykocki, who studies urinary bladder physiology. The software can be used to acquire images from a number of cameras at speeds fast enough to capture all of the interesting stuff,  whilst simultaneously acquiring data from one of our pressure monitors.

Like all of our software, BladderTracker is open source and completely free to download and use. That being said, the software is experimental, and it comes with no guarantee of working and a disclaimer that it may cause intense rage.

Prerequisites

Before installing BladderTracker, you will need to install any camera drivers, Arduino IDE, and µManager. For aThorlabs DCC1545M camera:

• Download and run the camera driver software from the Thorlabs website: https://www.thorlabs.com/software_pages/ViewSoftwarePage.cfm?Code=ThorCam
• Download and install the latest Nightly Build of µManager from the µManager website: http://valelab4.ucsf.edu/~MM/nightlyBuilds/1.4/Windows/
• Download and install the Arduino IDE from the Aduino website: https://www.arduino.cc/download_handler.php?f=/arduino-1.8.8-windows.exe

Latest Acquisition Software Release

BladderTracker has built in support for Thorlabs, OpenCV, and The Imaging Source cameras. However, BladderTracker should be compatible with most of the cameras that are supported by µManager software.  If you would like to take advantage of this functionality:

• • • use µManager to create a configuration file for your camera.
    • save the configuration file as “MMConfig.cfg”
    • place the .cfg file in the main BladderTracker folder.
    • run VasoTracker and select “uManagerCam” as the source.

If your camera is compatible with µManager, but it is not recognised by BladderTracker,  get in touch with us and we will update the software to allow you to use your camera. If you have a Danish Myo Tech pressure myograph system, you should be able to connect to the camera in uManager using The Imaging Source drivers (see here) or OpenCV drivers (see here).
